Geogebra

Pour a little Algebra & Geometry into an Open-source beaker, then add a dash of Calculus, offer it free, and what do you get?

GeoGebra, a free and powerful program for exploring all three of the major math areas. Geogebra lets you create constructions with points, vectors, segments, lines, and conical sections as well as functions. You can change them later as well. You can also enter coordinates and equations directly, including variables, of course.

The easiest way to see what this can do is to visit the Screenshot gallery, the examples section, and more importantly, the Official Geogebra Wiki. Those examples require a small java plugin to run, but also clearly demonstrate how GeoGebra allows you to create dynamic worksheets that truly help students grasp abstract mathematical concepts.
